124gr +P Gold Dots are issued at my job, so that's what is in my duty pistol and at least another of my Glock 9mms.

My G34 currently has 127gr +P+ Winchester loaded, my Glock 19 has 147gr Ranger-T, the G26s are loaded with 124gr +P Ranger-T.

My wife's CWP is loaded with the Ranger-T 124gr +P, and her PM9 with Federal 115gr +P+ BPLE.

I think they all work pretty much the same wound ballistics wise, give or take, and I worry most about the gun going bang every single time.

They are all pretty different wound ballistic wise according to the FBI's test series, but what the heck do they know? ;)

Unfortunately, I'm required by agency policy to carry issued ammunition, which is a very anemic 80's-vintage 147 gr subsonic JHP. That's why I now carry .40 in everything except my Kahrs...

If I could load whatever I wanted, I would load, in order:

Tier I:
Corbon DPX
Any MODERN mid-weight +P or +P+ (124-127 grs, SXT, Gold Dot, or HST)

Tier II:
Any MODERN 147 gr loading
Older +P or +P+ mid and lightweight loads

Tier III:
Standard pressure mid/lightweight loads

Of course, this is just one man's opinion, and worth PRECISELY what you paid for it!

Regards,

Kevin
