I was wondering if you took time away from your busy training/Orange Julius protection schedule to attend the SHOT Show, and if you saw any products that budding tactical retail security specialists should consider.

As always, your advice is much appreciated.

I know last year gecko45 was too busy to attend but some mall security directorate personell were sent. I wonder if this year gecko, or his qualified staff went? I always enjoy geckos input on new products. he showed a crossbow upper for ar-15s that i think would be awesome for stealth missions or launching a zipline.

As you can imagine with the deline in our US's economy the incidents of criminal activity in retail centers has sky rocked. Shoplifting is up over 1000% while man power is down almost the same amount. We are havng to do more with less just like always.

In addition the Christmas Underware Bomber has sent many major retail centers into a panic. As such the Directorate has changed its short term focus to full body scanners and simular devices. Because so many customers at retail centers are obese we are working with some big companys to design a system that can comfortably handle this.



The reality is that we have the guns we need now. We have the armor we need. What we don't have is intelligence or a way to get more of it. That has to change.
